Detailed Information

Kids age 8-17 who are interested in marine biology and an ocean adventure summer camp experience have a blast at Catalina Sea Camp! Our fun-filled one-week and three-week sessions are a one-of-a-kind ocean adventure! Kids enjoy the experience of a lifetime learning marine biology, developing new skills and having fun with newfound friends. Our secluded summer camp is located on a private beach at Toyon Bay on Catalina Island. Two and a half miles by water from the city of Avalon, Catalina Sea Camp is an ideal combination of land and sea for an amazing summer camp experience. Catalina Sea Camp is an ocean adventure camp that encourages kids to deepen their understanding of marine science. Campers participate in hands-on marine biology activities, and enjoy diving, sailing, exploring the island, and participating in fun traditional camp activities.

Catalina Sea Camp’s three-week summer camp activities include diving, sailing, marine science, and adventure courses you will never forget. If you ask return campers, they’ll tell you that they keep coming back because of the camp community, traditions, and the friends they’ve made! Many of our campers tell us that they keep in touch with their camp friends throughout the regular year and eagerly anticipate the opportunity to reunite with them each summer.

At Sea Camp, you’ll become a part of this unique community the second you get to Toyon Bay! Throughout your three-week experience, you will be placed in a crew, depending on your age. Five nights at camp are crew nights where you will participate in beach parties, outdoor movies, campfires, karaoke, games, dances, gaga ball, volleyball, and other fun camp activities. Crew nights change every year so, it is always something new and exciting.
